Our panel sessions bring together the brightest minds in the nuclear industry. Join thought-provoking discussions on youth perspectives, the future of nuclear energy, and innovations in education and research. This is your opportunity to be part of a collaborative exchange of ideas, insights, and solutions that will drive the future of nuclear science.
Mitigating, adapting to, and monitoring climate change lies at the core of IYNC’s mission.
As observers of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) since 2017, we have been actively engaged in UNFCCC’s Conferences of the Parties (COP) since 2015.
We operate under the guidance of our Climate Change Officer and three specialized teams, each playing a crucial role in our efforts to combat climate change.
Nuclear4Climate Initiative
As part of our dedication to advancing nuclear science and technology advocacy, we co-lead the Nuclear4Climate (N4C) initiative. Collaborating with the European Nuclear Society, N4C is a youth-driven movement focused on promoting the role of nuclear science and technology in addressing climate change.
Through this initiative, we advocate for the integration of nuclear solutions within the framework of annual UNFCCC Conferences of the Parties (COP).
Climate Action Partnerships
We actively engage with the broader climate action community to foster partnerships and initiatives aimed at tackling climate change.
Our collaboration extends to initiatives such as the new IYNC & Clean Energy Ministerial NICE Future Climate Talks webinar series, where we bring together leading experts to discuss key climate issues.
Stay tuned for upcoming discussions to stay informed and engaged in climate action!
Leading Climate Events Beyond UNFCCC COP
Recognizing the importance of addressing climate change beyond the confines of UNFCCC COP events, we actively participate in and support various climate-related initiatives and organizations. This includes involvement with UNFCCC, Student Energy, YOUNGO, SDG7, and more.
We firmly believe that nuclear science and technology are essential components of a broader package of solutions to combat climate change. Through our participation in these events, we advocate for holistic approaches to addressing the climate crisis.
