IYNCWIN18: A Successful Congress

“Challenge the present, empower the future” was the theme we were proud to see realized during the IYNCWiN18 conference held March 11 – 17, 2018, in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina.
With over 420 participants from 37 countries around the world attending a fully loaded schedule of technical tracks, panels, plenaries, interactive workshops and mentorship sessions, we can definitely say it was a great success!
IYNC was proud to host this year’s conference together with Women in Nuclear (WiN) and welcomed leaders from various areas of the global nuclear family including academia, government, industry and NGOs, along with high-level speakers from the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

At this conference we also launched two new programs to serve our mission of knowledge transfer, including the finalist competition of I4N and the new mentor program. We also celebrated our 20th Anniversary with an alumni session and launch of the IYNC 20th Anniversary Book.

“I also express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the IYNC Officers, the IYNC BoD and Committees members as well as all our partners who worked hard to develop the IYNC over the last two years. Together we brought the IYNC network one step further. I am confident the new IYNC leadership led by President Luca Capriotti and including Lena Andriolo (Vice President), Steve Ward (Treasurer), and James Hardiman (Executive Secretary), will deliver and strengthen our organization.
