Our awards are designed to honor excellence in various domains, including leadership, research, presentation, and workshop facilitation. We aim to acknowledge those who exemplify outstanding leadership, advance the mission of IYCN, and contribute significantly to their fields.

Juan Alberto Gonzalez Garrido Award Application
The Juan Alberto Gonzalez Garrido Award is given by the IYNC to a National or Continental Young Generation Network (YGN) that has provided outstanding service to the benefit of young professionals. This award recognizes networks with strong grassroots support from their members or those offering a variety of engaging events. Established in 2016 in memory of Juan Alberto Gonzalez Garrido, a dedicated IYNC officer who died in the Paris attacks on November 13, 2015, this award honors his commitment to the nuclear community.
Nominees can be made by anyone within the IYNC Network, with the awardee being conferred by the IYNC Awards Committee.

Outstanding Young Nuclear Professional – Early Career Award
This award recognizes a young professional for their meritorious service to civil society and valuable contributions to nuclear science and applications. Candidates must be young professionals working in the nuclear sector and be 39 years of age or younger. Nominations and recommendations for this award can be submitted by anyone, including self-nominations.
Nominees can be made by anyone within the IYNC Network, with the awardee being conferred by the IYNC Awards Committee.

IYNC Sustainability Award
The IYNC Climate Action Award recognizes individuals that have made significant contributions to addressing climate change through innovative and impactful actions within the nuclear industry. This award acknowledges outstanding efforts in promoting sustainable practices, reducing carbon footprints, and advancing nuclear technology as a key solution to global climate challenges.

Best Paper - First Place
